Volunteer program (Closed)
The 2009 World Police & Fire Games will not be possible without the time and talent of 2500+ volunteers. From key leadership roles to on-the-ground taskmasters, volunteers will play an integral role in hosting the world for 10 days in 2009 - and during many events leading up to the games.
Eligibility:
To volunteer for the 2009 World Police & Fire Games the following criteria must be met and agreed to:
- Minimum of 12 years of age*
- Commit to a minimum of 30 volunteer hours during games time
- Register online or mail in a completed form
- Agree to uphold the volunteer code of conduct
- Attend an orientation session
- Attend a venue tour applicable to your assignment
- Provide a security check if requested**
*12 - 16 year old volunteers, please go to the Family Program to read the criteria required for this age group.
** Some assignments will require a Security Check to be completed. These positions will be identified by the Events Security and Protocol Team.
